salut, ciao, nei ho…or for the less-linguistically inclined: hello, hello. let’s begin with a little story. enter boston, fall, 2010, and this, lovely readers (or followers), is where we begin. the characters you may ask? one lovely, fashion forward, free-spirited connecticutlet (k), plus one cali-native, music worshipper, surfer girl (m) whom combine (by some supernatural act of god) to form a friendship that bears a bond so thick, it’s like trying to break solid metal (…it just won’t happen). here, you see, consequently: we laugh. we cry. we party. we adventure. we have great friends going great places, and we, ourselves, celebrate some pretty stellar resumes, as well. every week we find ourselves cramming for classes, kissing (sometimes) cute boys (woops), drinking things our parents probably wouldn’t approve of, and attempting to make it through some of americas’ harshest weather patterns. so, we dare you, whoever you may be out there, to join in on m and k's day-to-day explorations in the bean as we navigate through college, the city, and life. oh yah, we can be pretty funny sometimes too.

with love

Temptation

-New Order

Today, is one of the few snow days, Boston has recieved this winter. I think it’s a sign. Snow is metaphoric, it means a lot of things (all good), and is used frequently in literature. Snow is the beginning of something new. Snow is innocence.

Today, the snow came down hard, its was beautiful, and it marked the beginning of something new for me, and dancing around in Sam’s dorm room, to his vinyl versions (yes he has this song on two different mixes on two different 12” and the 7’…dedication), I think today, may have been the start of something new for him as well.

Anyways, New Order brought Sam and I together: the beginning of something new.
This track; however, reminds me of snow. It feels beautiful, it sounds even better, and while i was jumping up and down, I felt, for a split second, like I was five again.
